Theoretical and practical course focusing primarily on the in-clinic rabbit as well as its home life and maintenance (feeding and behavior).

For the vet or nurse who wishes to specialise in anesthesia, monitoring, fluid therapy of the rabbit, and to optimize communication with the owner.

KURSUSINDHOLD

Lectures:
1) Nutrition: Delving deeper into what we feed and why
2) Behaviour: Why does my rabbit?
3) Anaesthesia: Holistic
4) Anaesthesia: Drugs
5) Monitoring: Airways, basic capnography, blood pressure and ventilation
6) Supportive care: Fluid therapy, assisted feeding, alternative treatments
7) The rabbit friendly clinic and communication with rabbit owners

Practical sessions:
1) Placing IV cannulas in marginal ear veins
2) Placing ETT’s on models using an otoscope
3) Placing v-gels on models
4) Placing ETT’s and v-gels on cadavers
5) Ventilation practical
