AniCura – Advanced Anaesthesiology (Linköping)

This is a course for those wanting to get more knowledge and understanding of anaesthetic considerations for specific conditions in dogs and cats. Pre-anaesthetic assessment and pre-medication in these circumstances will also be discussed

Course content

Anaesthetic considerations for:

– Cardiac diseases

– Kidney disease

– Laparoscopy, Endoscopy

– Respiratory patient

– Thoracotomy

– Brain surgery/Neurologic patient

– Endocrine patient (DKA, Diabetes, Thyroid diseases, pheochromocytoma, Chemodectoma, Parathyroid diseases)

– Young/old patient

 

Course language: The course will be held in English

 

Lecturer: René Dörfelt, Dr. med. vet., German specialist in small animals, Dipl. ECVECC, Dipl. ECVAA (non-practicing). Since 2011 Head of the Emergency and Critical Care service including anesthesiology, Clinic for Small Animal medicine, LMU Munich /Germany

 

Fees: 5 000 SEK excl VAT (one person) and 9 000 SEK excl VAT (for team of two, 4500 SEK/pp), including course materials, lunches, coffee and course dinner
