AniCura – Anaesthesiology (Copenhagen)

Anaesthesia is not just a necessity to perform surgery but a speciality in itself and therefore warrants more attention. This course will focus on tailoring anaesthesia to the individual patient resulting in safer and higher quality anaesthesia

Course content

– Basic respiratory and cardiovascular physiology

– Pre-anaesthetic assessment and risk identification

– Premedication, induction and maintenance of anaesthesia – what to choose?

– Monitoring anaesthesia

– which monitor tells you what?

– Identification of complications during anaesthesia

– Treatment of complications

– Anaesthesia systems

– which to use and how?

– Perioperative pain management and evaluation

 

After completing the course the participant should be able to:

– Understand basic cardiorespiratory physiology

– Identify perianaesthetic risks

– Select  premedication, induction and maintenance anaesthetics suitable for individual patients

– Use anaesthesia and monitoring equipment  correctly

– Identify and treat the most common anaesthetic complications

– Understand pain physiology and recognise and treat perioperative pain

 

Course language: The course will be held in Danish

Fees: 500 EUR excl VAT (one person) and 800 EUR excl VAT (for team of two, a 400 EUR/pp), including course materials, lunches, coffee and course dinner
