Webinar – Pain Management in the ECC patient

The ECC patients are not always able to display signs of pain, as their demeanor is altered, making it difficult to assess and treat pain. Sometimes the animal will come in screaming in pain and trying to bite – but this is not always the case. As great members of the ECC team, it is important to recognize and treat pain as we see it. All analgesics have side effects, so covered will be some of the major drugs, what the side effects are, and see how they can be limited, avoided, or treated as required. Also covered, will be the monitoring that is required to ensure that your patient is kept comfortable at all times, as this is just as important as administering analgesics.
